The key to your happiness
lies within your thoughts

Just as we pay attention to what we eat, it’s equally important to be mindful of what we feed our mind.

In the journey towards a fulfilling and joyful life, we often encounter challenges that test our limits of resilience and determination.

While external factors play a role, the key to unlocking a healthier and happier life lies with our mindset.

The way we perceive, interpret, and respond to the world around us can signifcantly impact our overall well-being.

It’s also important to remember that when we are unhappy or stressed or anxious, this has real physical impacts on our body.

Stress and anxiety can trigger the release of cortisol, our fight or flight hormone. Whilst cortisol is crucial for responding to immediate threats (it literally gets our body ready to fight or flee), chronic or prolonged stress can lead to consistently elevated cortisol levels contributing to various health issues. Among these, a significant consequence is the development of insulin resistance. This condition disrupts our capacity to effectively regulate blood sugar, potentially leading to weight gain and an increased susceptability to type 2 diabetes.

True success and happiness is an inside out approach

The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People

For me this book stands out as an extraordinary read. Unlike many self-help books filled with quick fix strategies, this book centres around principles and character as the bedrock for cultivating effective relationships with yourself and others.

It encourages you to prioritise self reflection, advocating for introspection before reaching externally for reasons or excuses.

Personally this book was a game changer for me.
